LAUNCHES THE FIRST OF MANY NICHE-SPECIFIC CAREER WEB SITES

Orlando, FL. May 18, 2005 – iConnect2Jobs, an Orlando-based, women-owned and operated business, has launched the first in a series of niche-specific career sites.  This initial endeavor, www.iConnect2Anesthesiology.com, is dedicated to the field of anesthesiology, offering products/services related to staffing professional development solutions, for Anesthesiologists and CRNAs.

            Local entrepreneur, Sherry Lucki, President/CEO of iConnect2Jobs, with her executive team, envisioned the creation of online communities that would allow healthcare professionals to share information, dialog current issues, search for employees or locums, and/or search for employment opportunities.   iConnect2Anesthesiology is the first in a series of online communities planned for launch this year.

“We feel strongly that every career-minded professional can use a site dedicated to their specific industry.  A site where they can find valuable resources.  A site developed just for them,” said, Christina Lucki, Director of Marketing & Business Development.  “Our goal is for iConnect2Anesthesiology.com to maintain the freshest job listings on the Internet, to attract the crème de la crème of active job seekers.  To accomplish this, and in spite of the fact that it will take longer to build the business, we will exclude staffing companies from the process.”

Vice President, Peggy Nix, added, “We recognized that there is a plethora of career-related sites on the Internet, but we saw a void waiting to be filled.  Most existing sites are dominated by staffing companies and independent recruiters.  And, while we agree that there will always be a place for agencies and recruiters in the staffing industry, we feel employment sites should be seen as an alternative resource for employers and job seekers who want to interact directly with one another.  Additionally, we offer an alternative to the payment of agency fees, which in the field of anesthesiology are in the neighborhood of  $12k per CRNA; $20k per physician.  But that is, as they say,  “a whole ‘nother issue.”

As the only online niche career resource that disallows participation by agencies and independent recruiters, iConnect2Anesthesiology.com encourages one-to-one interaction between serious hiring managers and top candidates in the field, and minimizes problems like over-exposed candidates, and stale or phantom jobs.  We anticipate that the time required to actually fill vacancies will be reduced, which also saves employers time and money (it is estimated that vacant positions can cost three times the value of the position!).
